Age

You’re as young as you feel, or so they say, I wish my body agreed

Truth is that with every passing year, a bit more of me goes to seed

I can no longer dance the night away, wearing six inch killer heels

But when I am playing Beat Saber, I remember just how it feels

My laughter lines are deepening, and slowly taking over my face

Yet still I refuse to grow older, with any measure of good grace

I live my life as passionately, as I have ever done before

I jump in puddles, dance in the rain, run barefoot along salty shore

And I will dare to dream and hope and strive, to be all that I can be

So to you age, I just have this to say, ‘You will never define me’
